Birthday present to myself.
Well tomarrow being my birthday and since my trans craped out about a month ago, I went ahead and got THIS transmission and am getting a local shop to install it even though mine was still under warranty. It did cost ALOT more then the warranty work or even a BTS but BTS cant get me one for at least a month and I need to haul some stuff soon.

BUT from what the link says and what I was told by the shop thats doin the install this transmission should KICK @$$
If anyone was wondering why I didnt get Ford to do it under warranty.... they told me the 2in lift I bought the truck with in FL from a dealership voids the warranty...

Well BTS is 4100 and i would have had to install it so that would have been looking like 4700-4800 ish for that one and then the cost to ship the core back...
lets just say I am openly taking donations...lol
The trans it self is 4700-4800ish plus labor, fluid and misc envorment and shop fees. I believe when everything is all said and done I will be looking at about 5500ish (dont have the exact numbers with me). This includes all possible upgrades that are out on the market I was told (Im by no means a trans guru so i wouldnt know) that would include a bigger cooler, billet torque converter and some other stuff. It does come with a warranty for up to 1 yr/12000 miles.
Oh yea its being done by Glen Burnie Transmissions, in Glen Burnie MD if anyone was wondering

Yea well thats why im goin with this one, its a bit overkill but hopefully Ill only have to change the fuid and filter from now on. Plus you never know how bad PMS can get and now I will have to trans to hold up to anything that I put in the truck
Edit: I called Suncoast in Fl and the most beefed up one they offer was more than this one....little fun fact of the day

Happy Birthday Chris, mine is at the end of the month and I am going to try and treat my self to a DP tuner tomorrow at Smokin 
. That is one hoss of a tranny I don't think you'd have anything to worry about with it are you going to atleast but in a BTS VB?

I thought about it, but they are already goin to upgrade the VB in the new trans, and the guy said he doesnt know if it would work as well since these are designed to work togther. But he did tell me they could put in a BTS VB if I wanted them too.
