tell us something new... say... when you look close does it resemble a chebby??

sure hope your problems are over soon Chris... either trade it, or perhaps someone will have a miraculous discovery about what is causing so much trouble...

dare i ask whats wrong this time??

im thinking the charging system is screwed, so the $460 i spent on an alternator that quit working 2 months later. its either that or a bad battery or combination of both, ive changed everything else on the stupid thing.

charging greif

Hey their toon town crank I guess you should sell that ford and buy a Dodge!!!!LOL No on a serious note have you gave your batteries a load test. I know if theirs a dead short they over load you alt But it could be a broken wire some where.> Getting up their in years so the wires could be getting croded and may look good but are toasted give you wires around the alt a little pull but not to hard or their might be a fusable link their that might have fussed out

Ya know man, I think I may have a similiar problem with my truck eating batteries too. I bought one from the co-op like 1 year and a month ago and(1 month after warranty is up) the battery no longer holds charge.

I started the truck up quite a few tiems during the winter, and took it to edmonton a few times but it shouldnt have ate the battery that fast!

Thats the late 80's early 90's trucks for ya. I love mine, but Id be fooling anyone if I said it didnt have its share of quirks!
