Y-block/221-260 transmission compatibility

I wonder if there are any old-timers out there who can say whether the bellhousings of the 221/260 (and early 289) will bolt up to the Y-block?

Nope! 221, 260 and pre '65 289s have a unique 5 bolt bell.

Y-block/221-260 transmission compatibility

Furthermore, the y-block had a funky arc-shaped bolt pattern that was unique to the y-block family.
