Thanks for all the kind words. I guess you have to experience the pain of loss to really know the joy of friendship and love.
You just wonder why sometime we put ourselves through it but once they coming running up to you tail wagging you know.
Hug your truck dog for me today!!

Whether you are a person of faith or not - take this for what it's worth to you...

I heard a prayer once that will be stuck in my head forever -

God, please help me to become the man that my dog believes I already am....

Yes, it sure does hurt when they leave us...
Here is a picture of our two dogs (at the time)... This was taken a couple of months before we knew that cOOkie was sick with cancer. We believe that CoCoa (the little girl who had her head resting on cOOkie) already knew...
These two were inseparable.

This is how they would sleep... Always touching each other in some way... Both were rescue dogs and we got them about a year apart from each other... They bonded almost instantly..

She is just over 7 now. She was diagnosed with diabetes in early October.

Thanks for the kind words. Sammie went with me just about everywhere. We had lots of long trail rides in the desert and when the weather gets better I'm going to place a small monument out there somewhere.

Diego (son of Zorro), You could fit 10 of him into the backseat of a Supercab. Catches and eats mourning doves for breakfast (he's fast!)

Levi thinks he is an Ostrich....

And we always joke that he has a bit of a cocaine problem when he comes in the house looking like this....

Got to ask if Diego is an IG (Italian Greyhound)? From that angle, he looks a lot like one of our Iggys.
