Does your 08 f150 do this?

When I put air vent button on the setting that blows on the feet and defrost vents, then switch to the button that blows to the feet and and center vents, the AC kicks in. This happens every time. The ford tech says this in normal and is programmed to do this. He said its to kick in or lubicate the ac bearings/whatever.
I think it is a programming error.
Any experience of thoughts on this?

When you put it on defrost/feet, the compressor kicks on. when you cange it back to blow on tors/feet the compressor is still on. Totally normal.
