I am not a !00% sure but I think you would have to change the flywheel and presure plate also if you wanted to put in a bigger clutch. Some who knows more than me will be along if not try the transmission forums.

Some flywheels are drilled for both clutch diameters. There are a few other threads that tell which years had the dual patterns. You will need the whole kit not just the clutch disk to do the swap. You will also need new bolts for the pressure plate as with the 11in clutch they are bigger. I forget what size they are. I have a centerforce 11in and though I have never pulled anything with my truck it SEEMS to grab much better then the original 10in but I can't say how much better it is. While you are doing this switch make sure to replace the pilot and throwout bearing so you don't have to take it apart again later.

FYI, Bigger is not always better. I recommend calling Clutchmasters in Colton Ca. They have been building my clutches for 20+ years, everything from street to racing. excellent work and consistant quality. Price is typically comparable to an OEM unit.

I doubt the 10" will give you any problems as long as it's a good quality clutch. I put a Valeo in my truck a couple of years ago and it sucks! The clutch I had in it before was supposed to be for a diesel and I loved it, but I didn't have time to chase parts on the second one.
