There is a difference between classic and antique.

Anything over 25 years old would be a good figure for classic. In my opinion.

The dentsides are 30 to 35 years old now, that's classic in my book.

I wouldn't call them classics, but they are some of the baddest trucks out there.

Most people, when they see a true classic, they know it's a classic. When they see our trucks, they just see old trucks.

I'd be proud to call our trucks classic, but they're not.

Who says 48-60's trucks are? I like my 70's rigs more than those years - but that's just me. Now my 38 - that's a classic

As with everything - it's all based on ones personal opinion of what "classic" is...

Not really sure if they are classics but definitely cool old trucks. I guess it is just a matter of personal opinion really.

I wanted to get a classic tag on mine because I consider her a classic. But I kept thinking there are older cars on the road that actually deserve the distinction. Ours are impressive but I still don't feel comfortable placing a classic tag on her even after 30 years.

Perhaps they misread this on Wiki ?

Classic car is a term frequently used to describe an older car, but the exact meaning is subject to differences in opinion. Some are very inclusive, considering any older car in fine condition a classic. Others, including the "Concours d'Elegance" and the Classic Car Club of America maintain that 1948 is the last year for the true classics.

I remember finding that on wiki too. It's description is just as ambiguous as my thoughts on the subject. lol

This is a definition from Auto Blog.

There are so many different definitions of what a classic car is. Some would put specific age limits on the definitions, and others would say that only special variants would qualify for classic status. In my hunt for the perfect definition, the best that I could find stated that a classic car is a car that retains its appeal after it is no longer produced. I would say that the appeal of a car is determined by the individual. I mean, some people find a Ford Tempo appealing. To me a classic car is one that stops depreciating in value and either levels off or begins to appreciate over time. The value increasing because of demand ties into the definition that the classic cars have appeal long after they are no longer produced. The goal is to catch these cars when theyre at the bottom, before they become more valuable. Of course, values do vary from year to year, so like any potential investment there are risks.(IN this case TRUCK). In BC Canada the vehicle can be from 25 to 30 years old depending on the how stock or modified it is.
Don't know if this helps but I have a 76 and a 77, both XLT's and I consider them classic.

I consider anything that is rare, limited edition, or over 30 years old to be classics.

But the California Bureru of air resources board, would say that anything between 1975 and 5 years old is junk, and should be scrapped. And they are trying to back that off even further to 1965, and I've even heard 1960 mentioned.

So it depends on your point of view.
