Just turned 70k, I'm getting ready to replace the front shocks and install front air springs. In the past couple months the front end has started sounding a little clunky in low speed turns. What bushings should I look at replacing while I'm doing the other stuff and does anyone have a good online source for them?
HAve you checked the balljoints for that low speed clunking noise?
Lift front tires just off the ground,
put a lever under the front tire and watch the joints as you lift tire up and down.
The balljoints don't last on these vehicles, sometimes as soon as 40K miles.
I was quoted $1200 for both sides. Just did it meself.
My '05 E350 van at 170K still has all original front bushings but its on its 3rd set of balljoints.!
