I Have a 1995 F-150 4X2 Ex. Cab Long bed i just purchase from an old man. it is absolutly MINT . Only 74,000 miles no scratches.
351W with 3.08 rear. According to my research this gives me a 10000 pound GCWR. which is not a problem for towing my 20' travel trailer. I would like to increase my initial pull 0-40 with out giving up my fuel econ.
I'm not familiar with late-model Ford ignitions, but unless it the platinum-plug, 100,000 mile-before-tune-up kind, you would probably benefit from an MSD ignition box and coil, it's less than $200, hooks up easy, and improves all-around performance, especially low-end, where it dispatches multiple sparks (hence the name, Multiple Spark Discharge), and actually improves fuel economy. Like I said, I don't know if you have an ultra-modern ignition already on those trucks, but if not, my MSD helped a good bit on my highway performance, as well as driving around town, and MSD claims that it makes a big difference on vehicles that see time strapped to a trailer. This is the simplest thing I can think of, besides a K&N air filter, which really doesn't help all that much, but it is an outstanding filter in both fitration quality and flow. Either one is pretty simple to install, the K&N is just a drop-in (usually $40), and the MSD requires a little wiring. Good Luck!
