injector Question
I called for too price out a injector for my 2004 ford f150 5.4L 3valve and they quoted me $191.96 each (canadian of corse) now I got a rebuilt one from the autoparts store for $49.99, My buddy who has a 2005 f250 with the same engine just bought the same ones from the ford store for his engine for $22.96 (canadian)... My big question is :::: Is there a difference between a 2004 and 2005 5.4L 3Valve engine and if so are the injectors compatible , if not where can A guy buy some for a resonble price???

Yes the 04 and 05 injectors are different. My 04 had 05 injectors as it was a late 04. The difference is pretty easy to tell just by looking. The 05 injector is very skinny and black where as the 04 is fat and traditional looking.

Those are not exactly what is in the fords from the factory but are very close representations of the design of each.
