Simple MP3 player Connection?

I have a 2000 XLT X with factory stereo/cd/cd changer in console, no dvd. Is there a way to connect mp3 player through cd changer in console, I dont use the cd player/changer at all, and I would rather not pull the stereo out if I don't need to. I have used fm trans. and tape player connectors and am not happy with either. I don't mind eliminating the cd changer in the console. Thanks .

I use a PIE Adapter (FRDN-AUX pn). I use it for my MP3 player, computer (movies for kids) and Sirius Sportster. Works great. Does require removing the radio though.

I have used the USA spec interface available from Crutchfield in a Chevy suburban. It worked great. Charges the ipod and allows track skip form the steering wheel buttons.

I thought I heard some time back on the one of the threads that if you have a factory dvd player that you can plug an Ipod into the inputs on the dvd player, can anyone confirm this?

What about using an FM modulator? Then there is no install.
