1958-60. I purchased it as a 58. No title. Have pics in my gallery. The front turn signals are what throw me off. Some were round. Some were rectangle. Other than that I cant tell the diff.

Frank, your truck is a 1960. Here's why: the hood has 2 wide slots, where the Ford symbol (looks like a police badge) sits between. And the grill has 3 rows.

1959 Has the letters F O R D across the front of the hood, and the rows of the grill are without vert. columns.
1958 has 4 rows and round park lamps like that of 1957. And a smooth bumper (the 59/60 have contours shaped for a license plate)

Much appreciated havi. Explains allot. Like the fact that the old man I bought it from didn't no Jack.
But then again neither did I.
What I would like to know is how many Custom Cab short beds with the big back glass were manufactured ?
And what the trim package consisted of on the 1960 Custom Cab?
Thanks again

THE VIN DECODER IS IN-CORRECT! I've run into this before.

If it was an F100 4WD, the first three digits would be either F18 (4,000 GVWR) or F19 (5,600 lbs. GVWR).
F10 = F100 2WD

C = 292 2V Medium Duty

0 = 1960

E = Mahwah NJ Assembly Plant

50572 = 1960

110" Wheelbase

AM: A = Raven Black / M = Corinthian White

F100 2WD / 5,000 lbs. GVWR

Production build date: 29F = June 29, 1960

B = 3 Speed Borg Warner Overdrive.

02 = Ford 9" / 3.89-1 / non Limited Slip / 3300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity

5,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating

146 HP @ 3800 RPM
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have the FoMoCo production figures, but they're not broken down into specific models like Custom Cabs w/ big back windows.

This is it: Flareside 2WD: 27,383 / Styleside 2WD: 113,875 / etc.

4th digit is the engine code: F10 C 0E50572

C = 292 2V M/D

J = 223 1V

How is the valve cover attached to the head, with two studs, or bolts around the perimeter?

Two studs = 1952/59 = 215 & 223 I-6 / 8 bolts = 1960/64 = 223 or mebbe a 262 I-6.
