There is a swap meet in Sacramento this Sunday AM if anybody is interested. It's at Sac State University in the SE parking area. It's not huge, but the deals are good and there is coffee and doughnuts. There is a preponderance of small sellers of vintage stuff rather than dealers of new products, so it's more like a swap meet of old.
Also, there is another swap at the American River College on Sunday AM the 27th of April. It's also known for good deals along with the doughnuts and coffee! Jag
Anybody else going? I'll be there by 7:30am with my red "JAG" hat on. Maybe I'll see that old guy there stilling trying to sell that Ford switch for $9. Jag
Sounds like fun. However, I'll be working on the boat .... again. I so want to find a aluminum intake for my 360, cheap.
That might be the place for that, no? Or, is it more like '58 and back ???
Well, It wasn't what I hoped for. I got there at 9:30 and barely made the first pass and several of vendors were already starting to pull out!
Nothing for the old fords that I saw, but did see a very cool Hilbran intake for a 409 motor. Some of the prices were not great. There was this old lady selling parts and she had a slightly USED edlebrock 600 manual choke carb and air gap intake she wanted 350.00 dollars for. You can buy it at summit for a little bit more, She had a very nice set of Tork Thrust wheels but wanted 1100.00 for them..
There was a guy selling a very nice frame with 4 link suspension and mustang II front end for 3K that caught my eye..
Maybe ARC's will be a little better. I have the schedule for the swap meet for the rest of the year if you guys want me to post it..

$1100, for the Torque Thrust wheels? Holy cow. Were they the old style 60's Americans?
If you could post the swap meet schedule, that would be cool.
OK, I'll post in a new thread. The tork thrusts were the old style. I can better at Bob's Quality tires at California and Fair Oaks in Carmichael. The owners son in-law, Mathew, makes me a killer deal on tires and wheels. Well worth the drive if you need tires and wheels.
It amazing that people would pay that when you can get a new set for a hundred or so more. I was looking to buy a set too. But, decided I have other things to spend money on right now. Like a rebuild for my motor, gears and paint. Maybe after that is all done I'll get TTII's or Outlaw II's. Both look really nice on our older trucks.
We got there at 7:30. The doughnuts and coffee were great. I saw a fair amount of Ford stuff, but nothing I needed. The old single cylinder engine running on the trailer was great. The custom Stude pickup was interesting too. 9:30 is a little late. Most of those guys sell their best stuff by 8:00. I saw a guy buy a whole air bag system for $300. It looked almost new. Good luck at A R C. Jag
