Valve Clearance

The drivers side head gasket blew on my 1978 F-250 with a 400. I tore the upper part of my engine down and went to have my heads checked and cleaned. Now I am ready to put her back together. I also am putting new lifters in (they were noisy before) and a Edelbrock performer 400 with a 1405 Carb. My question is the machine shop put new valve stem seals in the heads and with the new lifters. How do I set the rocker too valve clearance when I put her back together. Thanks

There is no valve adjustment proceedure for a 400 other than the torque spec. The only way to adjust is with shims or different length pushrods.

Setting rockers

thanks fellas,
I am installing my rockers do I roll each cyl over to put the valves in close position when setting them.

Hey guys nevermind my last thread I got schooled on the difference between Ford and chebbie rockers and how they are set up
