I have a 1972 Bronco with two gas tanks (typical) and the fuel guage drops to totally empty once it appears it reached half-tank in qty. I really should see if both tanks do the same thing but I have yet to fill up a second tank worth as I'm still fixing it up (slowly).
Anybody have any ideas? I was thinking the fuel sending unit as I don't have much experience and know that this part fails after time. I would like to have some advice before attempting to purchase this part as it's not cheap. Perhaps something else could be the problem?
Hey Mike and welcome to FTE. Your problems are very common on our trucks. Below is a link to the same topic that was posted some time back with some very good suggestions to try.
