Brake advice
Wouldn't be too painful to replace the master cylinder itself, but looking at this forum it seems like maybe this is fate telling me to go to power brakes. The conversion kits tailor made for a '59 f250 are pretty pricey, but the 'universal' kits are only a little more than a new manual cylinder. I presume that with these kits I would also need a differential valve to balance out the front and rear. Are there other differences other than mounting? Is there a good reason not to go down to my favorite salvage yard, find something there from the '70s or '80s and make it fit? Seems like that would be about the same as the 'universal' option.
Any helpful pitfall related advice would be much appreciated.
Howdy! Maybe I've given them the wrong info, but I just called Kragen here in San Diego and they say they have your kit - P/N MK199 for $17.99.
'59 F250 right? Wanna Call them?

Unless yours is a special thingy, it might be worth a try. If it's the only one you can find, let me know and I'll pick it up and mail it to you (after you pay them for it -tee hee)
