I recently cleaned tube and replaced sensor however I noticed at idle there was no pressure and at increased RPMs I noticed only a light pulsating effect at the tubes end. Is this normal? I have noticed no MPG improvement however I have noticed an acceleration/pick up improvement.
Did you clean the fitting at the exhaust manifold? There is alot of flow through that tube if you fire engine up with sensor off.
Using brake cleaner and a speedo cable attached to a cordless drill I was able to drive it thru the tube and into the ex. manifold. There is still no pressure at idle unlike a gasoline engine would have. I am 100% there is no blockage in this tube and fittings.
I took mine off & cleaned it out about a week or so ago, including back into the exhaust manifold, big difference in power, and pickup, definetly a fuel mileage difference as well.
Is there a hole burnt in the tube? take it off the truck, you can reach through the fender well to get at it at the manifold, check and see if it has a hole.

I was able to visually inspect the tube from the ex manifold to the sensor, no holes ,cracks, etc. It appears to be in good clean shape, Maybe its just me expecting EGR pressure on idle,I just felt it odd that sucha small amount of pressure is comming out of this tube.
