Pulled the tranny, first gear is gone/beaking the casing apart inside the tranny and the liquid was black..good past owner i suppose because i only put 16k on the truck.
front end is messed up because of plowing (i expected this part)
i cant afford to fix it and still pay the payment and diesel. Im going to miss my first vehicle. 1 step forward 2 steps back i suppose. Time to build the credit up and get something new :-/

Don't give up just yet. Have you check bone yards? I'm sure the guys on this site will chime in with a lot of great ideas!!!
ebay has some new and rebuilt i think an ats on ebay is like 2500 bucks not to bad for a new ats trans.. i would def. give it some long hard thinkin there's plenty routes to go with out destrokin
Have you checked craigslist for trannies? In Denver here a month or so ago I saw a 2WD tranny for $400, and a rolling chassis w/drivetrain for $2500. Deals are out there, but if you're plowing you're hard on equipment. Good luck to you!!
ok i found you a trans ebay # 350044813976 its a e40d so it may not work but $599 with a 30 day unlimited mile warrenty aint to bad a price
It won't work...needs a 4r100 transmission.
I would suggest the original poster got to CraigsHelper and select to search (in Craigslist) the entire east coast for "ford transmission" under auto parts category. I found a couple of 4r100's right off from $800...Anyone who uses Craigslist should check out Craigshelper!
