identifying differential
I was cleaning out the differential in the stock 56 and was wondering what kinda of rear end it is. I know its a Dana 44 because of the 44 numbers on the bottom right of the case. I took the cover off, prolly for the first time, and started scraping all the crud off of it and came across a metal tag and it says 41/11. What does this mean, ive seen somewhere that it is the gear ratio, but just making sure.
