85 Bronco Tranny Problems

I have an 85 Bronco with the 300 straight six in it. The tranny got stuck in first, so I took the stick out and now I can't get it back in right. Does anyone know how to help me?

Take a flat head screw driver, a big one, insert it into the slot that the shifter came out of, and shift the transmission into neutral...NOTE: chock all four wheels before attempting.

This should allow you to put the shifter back in.

Ok I will try that. But does anyone have a pic of the gears in Nuetral? Because the whole top of the tranny is off.
