Electric fans

While looking for add on for my truck I come to the electric fan.

Which is better, would I want a dual or single blade. How much cfm should I move also. I will be towing and daily driving. Any help will be appreciated. Also should I change my thermostat to better help the fans.

you won't need a thermostat swap, and the fan that you need should move around 2500 cfm. Dual fans are great, but a single is all you really need. Most aftermarket fans will sit 1/2" off the radiator, so it'll really keep you cool. I've had good luck with Permacool fans, but any fan out of a late-model car should work, just make sure that you wire them through a relay so you don't burn the fan motor up. TK

Like TK said, try to find a fan that flows some good numbers, 2000cfm or better, especially if you get stuck in stop and go traffic once in a while.
I'm not sure where you're located, so I can only go on my experience here in AZ. When looking for a fan setup, try to find one that has a shroud that covers most if not all of the radiator, just as the stock fan shroud does. This way you ensure that you're pulling air through the entire radiator cooling surface and not just a small shrouded area or not at all if your fan doesn't have a shroud.
In AZ, that's kinda important considering the 110* weather here. If your fan is mounted without a shroud, it will pull air from the area of least resistance, which is right around the radiator, not through it, which doesn't help your cooling situation at all when the truck's stopped and not forcing air into the radiator.
Anyway, good luck. Look for a big high flowing fan and matching shroud.

Here is a link to some info on installing an electric fan. I pretty much followed these instructions.
