Auto lite spark plugs
Iam going to change plugs this weekend I have autolite 45 in there now would I be better off going to the autolite platium plug what the advantage if any. The motor is a 1974 351w. Thanks

Auto lite spark plugs
You will see no benefit whatsoever from palutinum plugs, they are only for enignes that originally came equipped with them. The Autolites that you have, probably the same thing as Motorcraft 450's (my favorite plug, and I've used them all, Bosch Platinum included), will last just as long, if not longer, and will provide the same voltage requirements as platinum plugs. Some platinum plugs are even detrimental to performance, and actually have the insulator core delaminated by the effects of a high voltage ignition, like an MSD system. Motorcraft and Autolites are very tuff plugs, and you can't beat that price! TK
