Leaf Spring

I have a 1997 F150 4x2 with only 69,000 miles on it with a broken leaf spring. I really don't tow or haul anything, it is mainly used for highway driving. I can't believe that it could have broke with such little milage and not much heavy use. Does anyone else have this problem?
