Which Glow Plug
Can someone tell me the best glow plug I can get for my '86 6.9? One person says beru zd9 but another says those are for '87 and later and that I need zd1. I'm too new to diesels to know...oh and where can I buy them...the autozone here doesn't carry motorcraft zd9's if it IS those...

My '86 uses ZD1, the one with the spade (flat) connector, the ZD9 has a bullet (round) connector. If you do a search for glow plugs on this forum, you will see hundreds of entries, it is a constant source of discussion. Even the last few days have seen 20, I'll bet. Several online sources, O'Reillys being one, one of our sponsors, (forgive me, I've fogotten the name) and some others. You could easily scroll through the last few days posts and find that info. Plan on spending about $100 for eight, my personal experience is, it's worth every penny.

Thanks Leeward...I'll do the search...I'm new to the forum too...Your comment kinda reminds me about the question of which oil is the best on the Road King Riders forum I belong to...talk about beatin' a dead horse! thanks
