Cruise Control - FIXED

I bought my 2002 SD used last year. Recently, cruise control stopped working. Tested criuse using methodology posted previously in this forum. According to OASIS, dealer had performed recall # 05S28 in 2006. Saw where dealer had changed out harness connected to pressure swith on master cyclinder. Had tag on harness indicating must be replaced with harness 9F924. Ordered Motorcraft Brake Repair Kit SW-6350 (1L1Z-9F924-AA) from Direct Ford Parts (Gaudin Ford Las Vegas,NV). Kit included a new harness and new pressure switch -cost $11.00. BINGO - cruise control fixed!

Sounds like your switch shorted, and the updated harness did it's job - and didn't burn the truck to the ground.

Well a working cruise control is always better than a pile of ashes. Thanks for sharing the part numbers. $11.00 is a heck of a deal to fix something. Thanks for sharing.
