help to identify a part

I have a 351 windsor out of a 89 f250, the part i need help with to identify is: on the top of the part it as a 2 wire connector on the bottom a "T" to connect vacuum lines one vaccum line goes to the throttle body the other looks like it would go to the vacuum assembly located by the bottom right of battery. I do have pictures of it but i was unable to load on here their asking me for url which i dont have, So i can send to you email to look thanks for the help

I believe you are talking about the canister purge valve.

just a few seconds behind I guess. I agree with EPNCSU2006 the EVAP purge solenoid.

Thanks guys your right thats exactly what is it, This "Canister Purge Solenoid" was just hanging there. I notice it today while wrenching. Do you know what this purge solenoid does? the engine ran without it hooked up just curious to know its function. thanks for the help

All the evaporated fuel gets stored in the carbon canister on the frame rail, and the canister purge valve allows the computer to control when these vapors are introduced into the engine intake.

I've seen them not work right and cause it to backfire when letting off the gas. Hook it up..
