oil filter

oil filter

just picked up a new oil filter from napa
it comes with the plastic top already on it they say you throw out your old top . when did they start doing this and why? has any body heard of this?

I have seen that on 7.3 fuel filters.
My advice, save the plastic top for when you again use the Racor licensed no sweat filter.

My advice is not to use that filter a get a Racor before you have problems.

I couldn't agree more!
DO NOT COMPROMIZE ON THE 6.0!
It'll get you in the end...

Take that filter back to NAPA and get a real filter. You can get one a Wally world for $19.00<O

im still paying 3.50 a filter....oh wait I already paid for them, I just have 14 left!
