M50D Transmission Lockup?
greetings all! i'm new to this forum looking for some advice. i have a 1991 F-150 lariat 4.9L 300ci I6 5sp. M50D 4X4. the truck shifts fine into all other gears fine (1-2-3-5-R) except for 4th gear. everytime i shift into 4th gear the tranny gets stuck and won't go back to neutral without a struggle...i mean struggle. i've been driving the truck without using 4th gear for weeks when i accidentally shifted into 4th gear and this time it stayed stuck in 4th gear for good and wouldn't shift back into neutral anymore (engine running or off). i tried my usual struggle technique but no cigar this time. i'm assuming my clutch is still fine since all other gears seem to be shifting smoothly. i removed the shifter but didn't see any obvious damage in there. then again...i'm no tranny expert either. i'm considering taking it to a shop but would like to get some advice about possible causes... i appreciate any feedback from you guys. oh, can anyone recommend a reputable tranny shop in the atlanta metro area?

Top Cover Out! See photos...
Got my top cover out today and took the photos attached. I'm not really sure what to look for in obvious damages. The truck was in 4th gear when I took it off. How can I test fors any linkage or damaged parts? Is there anyway for me to shift it to back to neutral at this point so I can at least drive it to a shop? Thanks for any advice!
