351M to 302
I want to convert my 79 F250 4x4 to a 302. The truck currently has a 351M with a granny 4-speed. I already have a 302 and a bellhousing. Which motor mounts do I need to use? I have heard you can use the frame mounts in the truck, I have also heard you have to change them, which one is correct/better? Does the 302 make about the same power as a 351M? All the 351Ms I have owned all seemed weak and got crappy mileage. 302 should get better gas mileage,right? Thanks for any info.
