C6 shifting problems.
I put a 351 H.O and a C6 Transmission out of a 86' Econoline in my 1979 F100. I put a roller cam chain, edelbrock intake, edelbrock carb, performance coil,headers and i put a B&M Shift kit in the tranny. The motor runs great but now for some reason the Transmission won't shift right. If i put it in drive which is third gear on the drive indicater it starts out almost instantly in third gear and bogs down. If I shift it manually my going to first then to second and then third it does ok. If i just put it in second it stays in first until about 40mph and then finally goes into second. I have adjusted the modulater valve and it has had little effect. I am pretty sure the kit was put in perfectly according to the directions B&M sent. WHen it is in drive and you start out it just boggs but then takes off great when i drop it into first. ??? any help would be great.
