Recommend bug shield

I am looking for recommendations on bug shield for my 2005 ford f-150 supercab. I am looking for one that does not require drilling. I have seen EGR any good?

Thanks,

Mike

I need one for my 2008. Two different times people have ordered them for me, and they are the wrong ones. My grille goes up with the hood, and the ones they are ordering have tabs that would go under my hood in the middle.

I heard EGR using existing screw holes that are under the hood.

Who has a 2008 with an actual bug deflector on it? Like I said, I have had 2 different places order them for me, and both times it was the wrong one. I have no idea what year/if the hood changed at all between 04 - 08, but on my old 02, the hood came up without the grille.

try weather tech, had one on my 04 f150, just put one on y 08 lariat screw, extremely happy, uses exsisting screw holes under hood, slides between grill and hood.

The grille is physically attached to the hood; how does it slide between the two? I'm going to find a picture.

The grille section is bolted to the hood. You can loosen the nuts attaching the grille piece to the hood enough to open a gap. Then slide the tabs between the grille and hood, check the fit, tighten the nuts and you're good to go.

Thanks. Someone else told me the same thing 5 minutes ago. I thought I was losing my damn mind when I looked at them.

I put a Ford low profile deflector on my truck when I got it new and there have been no issues and it still looks new. Takes about 15 minutes to install and there is no drilling.

I just put a DeeZee smoked shield on my '05. Pep Boys had it on the shelf. Just take several fastener nuts off behind the grill, and slip the shield in between the hood and grill trim, and put them back on. Very easy. $49.95

I've used the Ford "low profile" shield on both of my last two trucks. Nice shape, good fit.
