Trans problems cont....

Well Im STILL waiting to get a chance to take my truck in for my trans problems. They havent had a "chance to look at it" and then the trans guy went on vacation for 10days...

So my question is does anyone know a good trans place in Maryland? I know its still under warranty but its been at least 7 buisness days and they still havent doen anything and now I have to wait to april 10th before they will even have a chance to look at it again...

I used to deal with Jim Jennings in Essex Maryland. They were very good but I haven't had any dealings with them in over 10 years. They are located at 601 Eastern Blvd. 21220. The phone number is 410.686.6700

Warranty still equals free. I know waiting sucks but hang on to your money for now. I'd give that shop a call several times over the next week to make sure you're at the top of the list when the tranny guy gets back in.

Look at the bright side. At least he didn't try to squeeze you in and rush the job as he was dreaming about his upcoming vacation.

That is true that he didnt rush it, but its been a while and man I want my truck back. My moms suburban has no power and goes through more money on fuel than my truck did...

Take it to another dealer. Problem solved, money saved.

I have thought about that, I know a guy in the service dept there thought... the other dealership he was at went under so Im tryin to help him out to get his numbers back up since hes the new guy there. I was also told by another dealer that the lift that I BOUGHT my truck with will make the warranty void... They dont believe me that I bought it like that and the guy I know is basiclly the only one I can take it to since hes willing to stand up for me since he knows that I bought it like that.

I cant see why a lift would void the tranny, but, if you did not re-gear after bigger tires, that would kill it. I would wait it out until your buddy comes back. $2500 + is a lot of money.
