Clay Bar
Its that time once again to clay bar the trucks. I have used them in the past, but I was wondering what brand is the best. There are SO many different brands out there. Which one works the best? I have three vehicles that I have to do this spring. Thanks for the info everyone.

Gotta say that I didn't think there would be much difference between clay bars as they are simply clay. Have used one from Meguiar's and one from Griot's and couldn't tell them apart after using them. Both yield the very smooth finishes that one would expect to feel.

I once saw a claybar holder that basicly was a handle that you could mold the clay bar onto for doing alot of work. Its time to do the whole truck and my hands cant handle using that little bar again this year. of course though now that i want to buy one, i can't find it....anyone know what i'm talking about?

I just used a clay bar (meguiar's) for the first time last week on my truck. I knew the paint needed a good cleaning, but I was surprised at all the junk that came off the paint. I was a little too hot so the spray on detailer would start to dry too fast and it left a little clay residue on the surface. I'm gonna give it another pass and give it a good wax.
