I check the plug at the blower..looks good..I just got home and haven't tested for power yet..going out to that now till I get help from here..thanks guy's...
Don't mean to be a wise guy, but don't forget about the number of threads in the past that wound up being the famous walmart bag that was sucked into the fan and stopped it from turning. Might be worth running a coat hanger in and see if you can fish something out. Other than that, there is a blower motor relay under the hood. Number 31, make sure its good and in place.
The blower motor itself is easy to get to. I think there are only 3 bolts that hold it in place. It's on the passenger side firewall. Make sure you're getting 12volts there. Or just take it off and look for an obstruction. Maybe a chaffed wire under the hood?
The fact that it quit once and then like magic started again tells me you have the same problem I have been putting up with for years. I have some dumb little thing wrong with mine and maybe once every month or so it will quit for no apparent reason, a slight tap on the housing with a hammer will cause it to start working again for another month or so. To me, it ain't worth the cost of the motor to replace. Next time it quits try the fix it with a hammer method and see what happens. I have been doing it for about 5 years.
Keep in mind that nothing fixes itself on any kind of vehicle. Sometimes things will quit and start again for no good reason, but for 1000% sure a fuse will NEVER quit working one day and all of a sudden start working the next.
I was afraid of that....I need a windshield this week..also time for registration and inspection..plus I need to renew my licence..never ends damn it...
That sure was not the price that scared me. But it was a long time ago in New Orleans at Mardi Gras time and I think it was around $200.00 installed. For 45 bucks I just may do mine myself sometime this summer.
