Anyone have any experience with Porter Cable tools, specifically air compressors?
My local Lowes has 15% off power tools for the next week and they've got a large verticle tank Porter Cable compressor I wouldn't mind having. I just don't know anything about the brand. I don't want to get stuck with a lemon...

Don't have any experience with there air compressors, but Porter cable is a premium name that has been around 100 years..
I have a circular saw and electric/battery drill they are very durable..
I have had the saw for at least 15 years..
I have used their Framing gun and didn't have a problem with it..
I didn't think P-C made air compressors. It's such a b**** trying to finger out what to buy anymore. All I know is the real high end stuff like Snap-on and others is good but you will pay through the nose. The cheapest you can find is nothing but scrap metal with fresh paint on it. The stuff in between, it's just like going to Vegas throw your money away - and you might just get lucky.
Pent-air another megaglomerate owns it now. All about profits, and off shore tax dodges.
These charlatans know nothing, and could care less, about quality as long as it lasts past the warranty.
