Sometimes it starts, sometimes it don't

I've been having some starting trouble with the 302 in my 1993 F-150. Sometimes it cranks but doesn't want to start. I have changed my ICM and that did no good. This morning it turned over but didn't start so I pulled a plug to test for fire, and there was no spark at all. A few minutes later my uncle showed up with a test plug, but it started right up while tring to test it. I ran a self-check and it is flashing no codes. I checked the resistance on the coil (both primary and secondary sides) and it checked out just fine. Of course the engine was starting at the time. I just checked the EEC relay and it didn't seem to be plugged in very good. I switched this relay with the one for my horn and so far it has started everytime. I'm kind of confused about how I can test anything when it is starting. Do yall have any ideas?
