Got a '94 F150 6 - runs beautifully. I'm doing home renovation and use truck to move materials of all kinds. Very often I need to carefully back with driver's door open while watching with door buzzer buzzing my brains out. Also, ignition switch is old and key buzzer will buzz even with key removed. Beyond running beautifully, this truck just mostly loudly buzzes.
Can anyone supply door and key warning buzzer locations and circuit diagrams? Also, if I simply pull buzzers, I'm not disabling a necessary circuit?
Of course buzzers are plugged into circuit boards under dash but there are several boards and I hate to poke around and potentially damage something - can someone point me directly at them?
Thanks highly for any info, buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
However, there appear to be several buzzer looking modules and what appears to be where the noise is coming from seems particularly difficult to get to. Of course, when there are several modules directly from where the buzz is coming from, one simply must feel for the vibration of each module to determine which one it is.
If I have to, I will spend whatever time it takes, even if I must lower the dash, or whatever more drastic action. I was hoping somebody could positively confirm exactly where they are so I could feel more confident about investing the time in lowering dash, or whatever is required.
Sorry for what might seem like a trivial post - however, maybe there is a trick to getting to the buzzers???
Believe me, if you use your truck as a work truck, the buzzers will drive you absolutely crazy. Like when I get 'em out, I'm gonna' smash 'em with a hammer.

I hear ya.. the door buzzer is disconnected within minutes of taking posession on every truck I have ever owned.
Somewhere around your lock cyl is a lil' black wire with a small spring finger on the end. If disconected & wrapped in tape, no buzz from key in ignition. Lights left on buzz still functions. (useful to me)
My buzzer is under the dash right below the radio. It has a gray clip with about 6-8 wires in it. I just unpluged it and all the buzzers are now off. Since most of my vehicles were made before buzzers, I just got in the habit of not leaving my lights on or the keys in the ignition.

This is what I've been looking to do, I'd say my key in ignition "switch" is very quirky indeed, thanks for the tip!
In the interest of tracing the location of the buzzers, there is a plastic panel directly below the steering wheel. On the left is the fuse cover, on the right is a little nook that would hold several CDs, for example. On the bottom left and right of that panel are two screws, both of mine were broken before I bought the truck and the panel kind of floats from being held from above.
Can anyone tell me quickly how to get that panel off?
Also, any advice on getting the panel off that is below the AC/heater controls?
Again, I don't have the shop manual, or I'd just look it up. Visual inspection doesn't reveal any addtl screws or whatever. Is it a friction fit? Snap fit?
for the panel removal there are 2 narrow strips of plastic
between the lower panel and the upper dash
the narrow panel on the left of the column it will pull off
the one to the right has one screw holding it then it will just pull off
open the ash tray to access that screw
this is all dependant on IIRC
When I first bought my truck back in 92, the door buzzer would go off when it rained. Dealer told me the buzzer fuze was near the floor vent under the radio. They fixed the buzzer so I never went looking for it again. Not a lot of help but maybe it'll be a little clue.
