I have a 95 f150 and I changed the clutch out a few months ago but I keep having to bleed the system. Anyone have any ideas on how air could keep getting into the system? Thanks!
Did you replace the master and slave at the same time? Most often, if you leave them in they will start to leak with the increased pressures required to push the new pressure plate...
pull it loose and see if your losing fluid out of anything on it..check all the lines, connections, etc.. If you are losing fluid, it is going somewhere.
I would bet that the new pressure plate just finished it off..they get weak..and they were not that durable a design to start with.
Haha funny lil guy arn't ya! =P alright i'll just replace the stupid thing... do you know what the correct way to bleed a clutch is? I've heard of gravity bleeding and then pumping the clutch?
That works. I have used a vacuum bleeder on them, too... These take patience no matter how you do them..I have had the best luck allowing a minute or so between cycles.. pump it , bleed it, let it sit for a minute.. repeat..lets the air even out a little better and saves your leg..
