I would not go into the engine compartment and start jerking stuff off here and there. Everything has a reason for being there, and there are several posts on here where all the vacuum lines and stuff have been taken off, and now they want to know how to put it all back together. If it runs ok, I would leave it, just inspect the lines and make sure there are no cracks.

there weren't any vaccuum lines connected to the a/c pump or lines. it wasn't working and was taking up a lot of space, making it hard to work in there. all i've disconnected so far was the pump/pullies, 1 electrical connector that was only connected to the a/c unit, and the 2 hoses; one from the a/c rad, and one to the little black cannister. what i was wondering is can i disconnect the cannister and all the a/c stuff without hurting my heat or other controls??
