After doing some searching I see this is quite a common problem.Under load or hard acceleration my truck misses and the check eng light will flash.Po300 is random/multiple cylinder misfire.I've done plugs/wires/coil pack, both #1 o2 sensors and still does it.I've seen multiple threads with things to try but nobody comes on to say what they found.Any help would be great. That folks is post #1

Steve,
Glad to have you here. And sorry you are stuck with the 0300 code to start you off.
It is frustrating when we never hear back what folks found - if anything - to solve their problem.
That leaves me, like everyone else, not knowing what you should do.
I really wish I had some good advice, but I don't.
I'm thinking I remember something about the hall effect sensor on the crank being a suspect item, but honestly can't say for sure.
Maybe it was the cam sensor.
I just don't know. Maybe - and I hate to say this - a trip to Ford to have the hook it up to the diagnostic cimputer might be in order.
FWIW, you are certain you got all the plug wires hooked up correctly? It'd be a shame to have fixed one problem and introduced another.
I'm sure I got the wires right as it runs like a top all around town, its just when I'm at say 40 mph and go to acc hard but not enuff to kick it down a gear it'll chug.Or when I come to a steep grade and it needs to lug abit it'll chug. Now if a clear to code I can drive er like an ole lady,no sweat,it'll miss the odd time.but if i drive er like an 18yr old boy it'll start to miss and the ch eng light will flash then stay on solid which means its a serious miss.I've searched this site and another ford site and I mean this is a common problem but as I say no answers. Will post my results for sure
Steve
