Small Antifreeze Leak

Anyone have the same small antifreeze leak coming from where the main elbow mounts to the bottom of the waterpump? It is only a couple of drips a night but I have a feeling that it is going to get worse. Is that just silicone or is there a special seal that is in there that goes bad?

Ya it has been leaking for about 8 months so I don't think it actually is the water pump. Where can I locate one of those o-rings at?

mine is doing the same thing, I am just going to replace it and do a coolant flush and go to the ELC. Kinda seems like a bad place to have a seal that could go bad should just make it one piece.

Well let me know how that goes and if that takes care of the problem. Where did you find the o-ring?

The reason they put it there is so you can remove the oil cooler with the engine in the pickup without pulling the water pump.

Had the same problem. It was the ring. Do a search and you will find the part number in a previous post that's what I did.

Same here thanks for the part number, I was going to replace the whole pump. Will leave it on the shelf and wait for it to go out.
