Tailgate wants to fall off...

Lately it seems like every time I put the tailgate down on my 94 F150 it wants to come off of the passenger side pin. I know that the outer shell going over the pin is slotted to allow for removal but it has not always done this. I am just wondering if there was a bushing that fell out....

Yes there is supposed to be a bushing in there to prevent this... sounds like you lost it.

I lost my bushing and the stricker bolt on the bed itself came loose and un aligned. If you move that around and get a new bushing (assuming yours is missing) then it might help.
