2000 E350 Superduty?

When I take off from a standstill I get a little hesitation followed by a puff of blue smoke out of the tailpipe. Do I need injectors?

Nah, you probably have at least a couple or the truck wouldn't move.

Seriously, does the truck drive and idle fine otherwise? How many miles on it? It could be injector orings, valve seals, or even something in the turbo cartrigde seal area. If the truck drives fine you probably do not need injectors.

EDIT: whoa there, where are my manners? Welcome to FTE and don't hesitate to ask any questions here. Great group.

Thanks Mike, nah the Truck runs-drives great. There is 185,000 miles on it mostly highway.

Thanks again great message board

Another question is what kind of fuel mileage should I be getting? I figured I'm getting about 10 miles per gallon. That sounds a little low to me. Thanks again for your input.

That sounds a lot low to me! My pickup gets like 16-18. But that is a van.

I think the best thing to do would be to take your turbo off and send it to me. The end. (your van turbo is a nice upgrade on a pickup)

Yeah, 10 is a bit low. Look around the boards for some ideas. Make sure you don't have a boost or exhaust up pipe leak.

Didn't mention that it's a 16 ft box truck used to deliver Little Debbie snack cakes, always have the truck pretty full.

So there is some wind drag...I would still check for fuel leaks/exhaust leaks. They can loose you power and it is good, quick, and easy pm.
My water trap drain was leaking. It was easy to fix. Check my sig if you have that problem.
