well try checking your cooling system, if it's gummed up on the sensor for the computer it will run rich because just a film of scale is the equivalent of a couple inches of steel when conducting heat is a factor

So I went to the junk yard a while back and put in another SD computer and still rich. I just put in mass air yesterday and bam! Not burning rich anymore. Not sure what made it stop but the exhaust is smelling much better. The mass air has made a huge improvement in throttle response and the shift in shift out of O/D I would have. I am sure the gas mileage will climb too.
