If you read the article Bobby tested a longfield CV for a D60 and it maxed out and started bending the machine. 19000ft lbs and 100* of twist

with what? a cv?
CVs do not have a U Joint. Its basically a ball and socket with ball bearings inside. Very strong and smoother function with less upkeep. They will also handle more rotational stress at max angles than U joints. I think these are rated at sharper turning angles than a normal 60 can turn.
Longfield CVs are uber cool but are $1850 for a set! and thats $6-700 more than the very best (superiors and ctms) axle/ujoint combo you can buy.

I missed the CV part. Is that the same as a closed knuckle?

No a closed knuckle still has a u joint inside but they look similar.
