engine swap?

i have a 86 full size bronco w/ a 302efi and AOD trans but my oil pressure drops off to zero when hot so im assuming it is the crankbearings (although the motor only has 16,000 miles it was a crappy crate i guess) i have a worked 390fe to replace it, has anyone done this or think its possible or should i just stroke the 302? and is the 302 block possibly still good?

I would try some heavier weight oil first. Maybe it's just breaking down too much from the heat.

390FE will not bolt in. It was never offered in these chassis styles.

Have you installed an aftermarket oil pressure gauge? I have seen a lot of time and money wasted believing the crappy factory pressure guages.
