I am new here

Just recently purchased a 1948 Mercury M-47. It has had some workd done to it approx 16 yrs ago. 302 mustang engine installed, rearend out of a '77 ford pickup. fibreglass fenders and running boards. 12 volt system. different seat than original , dual exhaust and some ugly stuff on the box. Oh and painted blue.
I will be asking questions, hoping I can get some answers from you guys. I have plans for this truck, just need to find time. I was looking for a driver I think I have that.
Truck is in shop now, getting brake hoses and cables on and moving gas tank to tempoary position (thats been fun), then its off for some frame work.
Wish me luck.

First purchase on and antique

I hope this doesn't end up costing me than I expected. I was just looking for a driver, so this should be it. Not as great a shape as I expected though. Floor was to ripe for my liking and some weak frame parts. All to be repaired tomorrow.
I do have to get the speedo working and a gas tank with a sending unit to a gauge would be a good idea.
Then comes, the baby moons and trim rings, dress up the engine a bit and a new stell bed in the box.
