i posted in the super duty section with no real luck,so i'll give it a try here.i have a 2000 f350 crew cab v10.i'm trying to hook up a trailer brake control box.heres what i have already.i found the wires under my dash just above the obd plug.theers ablue-red white black & a lite blue w/pink stripe.there is no plug under the dash.there is another wire but i believe its a PTO wir(its labeled).ii have a activator 2 brake box with re blue black & white wires do they go color to color?i dont think my truck came equiped with heavy duty tow kit.it only has 4 wire plug at rear bumper.so i ordered a direct plug in for a 7 pin connector.does any body know how to wire this brake box.do i need to add relays or fuses to get power?any help would be appreciated.thanks.

I need to look into this more, but you need to invest in a haynes or chilton repair manual. They give you all the schematics you need and id say if you only have a four pin at the rear id say you dont have a tow package. On my F350 thought, there is a harness to the right of the steering column where you can get a harness to adapt from it to your controller. Dont confuse it with the harness by the fuse panel. I will try to look into this more and get back to you.
thank you. i went to local auto parts today no luck on getting a manual.these wires are laying right above the obd connector.i saw the plug your talking about its close to the fuse panel.i'm sure i have the right wires just not sure what each one does on the truck side.i would guess that i would be in the minority-having a 350 super duty with no trailer package.my previos chevy had a spot right in the panel and they gave you a pigtail to just plug in.thanks for your response.i'll be checking in later.
If they are like the 07 expeditions, the wires at the plug are already hot, but, the blue wire runs to the 4 wire trailer connector area at the hitch. You will need to wire this into the new plug. Keep in mind that you will need to run more wires to your new 7 plug connector.

The wires you found are for customer access wires, the most of them terminate on the other side of the firewall. You need to find a plug, most likely gray, closer to the radio. It will be a six socket plug 2x3. Then what you will need is a harness adpator for it like this one:
thank you.i found that last night and i'll be ordering the pigtail tommorrow.if anymore problems i'll post.otherwise thanks again.(i new here & i think this forum is great)just out curiosity what would you use those wires for?what screwed me up is they match the colors on my brake booter and they are the same gauge.
