answer me this...when someone lists "cranked torsion bars" as a modification they mean what exactly?

It means they cranked their torsion bars...literally.

It lifts the front of the truck, up to 2 inches safely.

There is a bolt underneath (approximately) the driver and passenger foot areas, there will be two boxes that the torsionbar runs into. There is a bolt there that can be tightened, easiest to use a breaker bar. Take measurements before and after to check ride height. If you go up all the way you may need an alignment after.

It's an easy way to level the truck and run a little bigger tire without buying a 1,500.00$ lift kit. The 98 and up ranger 4x4's and the edge models use the torsion bar front suspension.
