Replacement for '89 Bronco 302

I've got an '89 Bronco with a 302 and an AOD. Engine threw a rod and I'd like to upgrade. I've priced rebuilt 302 and 351 longblocks, but the Ford Motorsport M-6007-P58 351 EFI is a complete engine at a good price.

Motorsport tech line says I'll need a new cpu, flywheel, and drivers-side brackets/adaptors for sure. I'm supposed to call them back tomorrow and find out about the wiring harness compatability. Sounds like they might actually give me a parts list for all the extras.

Has anyone actually done a 351 swap on this late-model 302? Thanks.

Replacement for '89 Bronco 302

hey guy,
I am planning to do the same thing with my 89. Please let me know if you find out anything. I was told that as long as I go with the windsor everything but the pan should link up with no problem, But then again I remember the last time I was told that.
